The Anglican Diocese of Canada (ADoC) is a continent-wide family of churches which, like the majority of Anglicans worldwide, remain faithful to established Christian doctrine and Anglican practice.<\/p>\n
We are a diocese in the Anglican Church in North America<\/a> and part of the global Gafcon<\/a> movement which represents approximately 70 of the 90 million Anglicans worldwide.<\/p>\n Members of ADoC are committed to remaining faithful to Holy Scripture and established Anglican doctrine and practices (read more about Anglicanism here<\/a>). ADoC emerged out of the ‘Essentials’ movement in the Anglican Church of Canada.<\/p>\n Building Biblically faithful, Gospel sharing, Anglican churches. We will not only be used by God to build new churches, but will also build-up existing churches. These churches will be fully Anglican, biblically faithful, evangelizing and discipling communities.<\/p>\n SCRIPTURES<\/strong>\u2013 We value the supreme authority of scripture.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n PARISH-CENTRED MINISTRY<\/strong>\u2013 We value equipping parishes to be the focus for ministry and evangelism.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n RELATIONSHIPS AND TRANSPARENCY<\/strong>\u2013 We value conducting the business and ministry of the diocese based on healthy Christ-like relationships and transparency.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n EQUIPPED AND SUPPORTED CLERGY<\/strong>\u2013 We value qualified and cared for clergy with sound theological training, and who preach scripture with Spirit-enabling power.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n ANGLICAN IDENTITY<\/strong>\u2013 We value nurturing liturgical and sacramental worship in the Anglican way as expressed through the catholic, evangelical, and charismatic streams.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n GOVERNANCE\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 We value being led by shepherd bishops who serve our parishes, province, and the worldwide communion.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n UNITY\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 We value walking together with love and respect even when differing on non-essential matters.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Every region, enduring churches, excellence in leadership, equipped members. We believe God is calling us to have churches from coast-to-coast and accessible to most Canadians. We will pray and plan that the churches will thrive until Jesus returns. We will humbly seek to be servant leaders always desiring to grow and learn the best practices. We desire to have every person in our congregation growing in Christ.<\/p>\n Bishop Charlie Masters is challenging ADoC congregations to focus on five ministry priorities \u2013 bold witnesses, Biblically grounded, Loving children & families, On Mission, and Planting & growing churches.
