Rector: The Venerable Paul Charbonneau

Pastor Paul and his wife, Joanne, encountered God through the Jesus People movement of the 1960s and 1970s, and in 1981 he enrolled at the Diocesan College of McGill University (Montreal, Quebec), where he was taught by N. T. Wright. He pastored in Two Mountains, Quebec, before becoming the rector of St. Hilda’s in 1994. He is also the executive archdeacon of the Anglican Diocese of Canada. An accomplished visual artist, Pastor Paul loves exploring how the use of artistic gifts can glorify God and build up the church.

I was ordained a deacon in 2011 and elevated to the priesthood on May 29, 2016.  This milestone followed 22 years of volunteer work in corrections.  During this time, I found myself drawn to a deeper relationship with our Lord. My wife, Kety, and I now attend St. Hilda’s Church, where my friend and mentor, the Archdeacon Paul Charbonneau, serves as rector. I eagerly anticipate my time there and am excited to see where the Lord will lead me
